Ray and Surrounding Villages (Route 7) This trip will allow you to explore the inner reaches of the ranges that stretch beyond the Hatta Mountains. You can also visit Ray, A’Shuwayhah and a few smaller hamlets hidden deep within the green wadis at the foot of the high mountains of Al Hajar.

There are four different access routes to this area: from Hatta in the north; via the Madam-Hatta Road, following the direction to Mahda; through Wadi Sumayni to the west; and from Mahda to the south. The route described follows the one most readers will use – from Hatta.
