Tayyibah (Route 13) With its streams of clear water meandering through shady palm plantations and its rugged mountain scenery and rough track, the route through Tayyibah, Wadi Asimah and Wadi Ama can be quite an adventurous and exciting place to visit.

This short route lies off the Masafi–Dibba Road. The wadis were once the main route between Masafi and Dibba and you can still catch glimpses of the original tarmac along the way. The road was abandoned when the new highway was built and has gradually slipped into a state of disrepair. Nowadays, the track is rough in many parts and, in places, requires careful negotiation over boulders and rocks moved by seasonal flooding.

Although the route is off the beaten track and the going tough, it’s well worth the effort because of the breathtaking mountain scenery. And each time you travel through this area, it seems to look different.
